Scenic Namibia is an inspirational meander through a country of remarkable contrasts. Where you can experience the contrast of desert, savanna, wildlife, exotic birdlife and breathtaking sunsets.

Light and space - San Bushman. The slight hunter gatherers, who wandered the far-off places of the Namib-Naukluft Desert, painted delicate pictures on its rocky outcrops and caves, understood the harmony of nature in which all creatures, great and small had their place in the immense web of creation. Man, they knew, had no unique rights in this cosmos over the birds of the Savanna. Man's place was to share in the wonder of life, the clouds and the wind, the laughter of the sun and the peace of the gently falling rain.

Call of the Etosha - The place of the great white spaces, was once a vast shallow lake created. Heiqum Bushman legend tells us, by the tears of a grieving mother when the Cunene River retreated to its present northern course the shallow lake evaporated, leaving behind 5,000 sqaure kilometres of slaty desert, a mirror expanse of shimmering images, dust devils and the occasional line of lonely zebras trekking endlessly to the horizon.

From the rampant waters of the Orange River the parched lands of the Namib and the unforgiving wilderness of the Kalahari to the humble traditions of the Himba, the colourful dress of the Herero and the gentle giants that are the desert elephants, these are the images of Namibia. It is the rolling dunes, the shifting sands, the gushing rivers, the dry riverbeds and the age old skylines that have made a remarkable island of tranquility in the sometimes harsh sea that makes Africa worthy of the experience.
